The price does depend on how many you need. If you only need a few they are £2.20 + VAT. Please be aware that we do have a £30 + vat minimum order charge. We are more than happy to help you with your small order and we can courier them back to you for £12 + VAT too.We use Edmundson's Electrical for our spurs so please feel free to check our what is available from them. We've added this service as we are now supplying more customers Nationwide. By purchasing your spurs through us it is quicker, often cheaper, and certainly reduced your carbon footprint as you aren't couriering them to us to engrave.
Laser Engraved Switch Plates, 13A Sockets Process
As you can see from the above pictures, firstly we laser engrave the spur.Secondly, we infill the engraved text with paint. In the pictures, this is black paint but we also regularly use red paint.Thirdly we clean the excess paint off the spur and ensure the whole product is clean and ready to install.We engrave spurs most days, every week. The white plastic ones are the most common requirement but often we engrave dark grey plastic ones. These engrave really well and have a great finish. We also engrave blue double sockets on a regular basis. Both of the above colours have white lettering.
Why laser engraving?
Well, the reason we laser engrave these, is quite simply because it is better than mechanically engraving for this application.Because you don't need to select a cutter, that may become slightly (and I do mean only tiny) different after sharpening. It means that we can churn these out to be identical to others that have already been engraved.This is particularly beneficial for large apartment blocks for example. Quite often when orders are placed for such buildings they end up doing a floor at a time. Or we end up doing all of the Shower spurs because they are in stock.Later we may engrave the Heated Towel Rail spurs. These will then still look the same regardless of when we engraved them.Also if a spur gets dropped and broken on site it doesn't matter. We can just engrave another one and you can fit it alongside the others without a second thought.
